Pete’s Diner is a collection of pieces I’ve written for www.tapmag.net, focusing mainly on American politics, culture and media. The Diner will also serve personal thoughts, articles and essays which are not specifically related to tapmag.
My interest in the U.S. goes a long way back – almost 2/3 of my life, so far. Stupendously, it wasn’t until last year (Sept.-Oct. 2007) that I crossed the pond for the first time – not that that should keep me from commenting on the goings-on, though.
I believe in the objectives of unbiased journalism, and do my best to undertake thorough research where needed, but I am also aware of the relativity of objective journalism. Keep in mind: this is a private blog.
Due to my student status, pending exams and papers, updates are currently infrequent. I’ll leave for the University of Maryland in late-August, however, and will try to add some consistency to this blog…
